Here are the different stroke styles in the Liu script. For each stroke type, an example of a Chinese character is provided. Each stroke of the character is numbered according to the stroke order, with the number placed at the beginning of the stroke.

Example: stroke no. 1:

Xuán (n.): mystery

Example: strokes no. 6 and 7:

Yù (v.): to be located somewhere

Example: stroke no. 1:

Shè (n.): room

Example: stroke no. 5:

Yí (adv.): also

Example: strokes no. 1 and 2:

Yì (n.): benefit, (v.) to increase

Example: stroke no. 3:

Shàng (adv.): still, yet
